About Llyn Pendam

LLyn Pendam is a reservoir in the Cambrian mountains, high above the famous lead and silver mines of Cymsymlog. Lying 4 miles east of Penrhyn-coch, it is a remote area, but also very popular with mountain bikers, outdoors enthusiasts, and locally known as a beauty spot.

The reservoir is privately owned by LLyn Pendam Lake LTD, while surrounding land is owned by the Wales Woodland Estate and currently managed by Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru, (Natural Resourses Wales, NRW). The west dam falls into CADW's scheduled monument at Cwmsmlog and considered one of the most important historical mine sites in Wales.

There is currently no public access granted to the lake accross the Wales Woodland Estate. Historically there has never been any public access.
